Media Relations

The Public Information Office is responsible for providing Sheriff’s Office related information to local, state and national media. Open records requests, daily media inquiries on open investigations and interviews with office employees are all arranged by the Public Information Officer (PIO).

The PIO is also responsible for the management of all official Sheriff’s Office social media sites. We are mindful that public engagement through social media is an integral aspect of community policing and positive public perception.

The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office is committed to being transparent while protecting the integrity of every case by providing useful information to the public via local and social media.
