Enter on the west side of the courthouse

The doors on the east side of the courthouse are the historical entrance to the Cleveland County Courthouse, but those doors are closed and not open to the public. People can enter through the west entrance which is the direct entrance to the Cleveland County office complex. CourthouseSignThe west entrance is ADA compliant and fully accessible. If you need special assistance due to a disability, please let judicial deputies know at the entrance. There is also special parking reserved for veterans and those with a physical handicap on the west side of the courthouse and county office complex. West side accessible courthouse entrance & parking 

Not allowed entry are outside: Food and drinks, toy weapons, screw drivers, hand cuff keys, multi tools or ammunition. No weapons will be allowed into the Cleveland County Courthouse. Weapons include but are not limited to:

  • Guns
  • Knives (regardless of blade length)
  • Chains
  • Brass Knuckles
  • Stun Guns
  • Tasers
  • Mace
  • Pepper Spray
  • Kubaton
  • Scissors (regardless of length)

Courtroom etiquette

While in a courtroom make sure your electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets and computers are turned off not just into silent mode. We do not allow communication between inmates and visitors, any attempt at communicating with an inmate will result in your removal from the courthouse.
